Hello everyone! I'm new to the world of Enneagram - fascinating so far 💫. I've identified myself as a type 8, more specifically 8w7. I've read articles, watched videos, you name it. Overall, I resonate with a lot of the characteristics. However, I sometimes question whether I am a "true" 8w7 as there are some traits I can't fully relate to. For example, the idea of always wanting to be in control. I like being in a leadership role, but I'm not against letting others take the lead occasionally. I am curious if other 8w7s feel the same way, or if perhaps I might be mistyping myself? If you're an 8w7, how do you personally interpret and live out this type and wing? Also, do you have any good resources or insights you'd like to share? I'm eager to dig deeper! Thanks, everyone! 🙌

Hello and welcome to the Enneagram world! 🎉 It's great that you've discovered your type as an 8w7. 😊 Remember, there are different levels of health in each Enneagram type and the traits may not always manifest in the same way for each person. So it's completely okay if you can't fully relate to all traits. 👍 As an 8w7 myself, I resonate with the idea of a desire for control but, like you, I'm open to others taking the lead, particularly if they show competence. We’re often seen as leaders due to our confidence and energy, but that doesn’t mean we always have to be in charge! 👏 The Enneagram Institute and The Wisdom of the Enneagram are great resources if you want to explore further. Moreover, listening to podcasts like “The Enneagram Journey” and “Typology” may provide more insights from different perspectives. 🔍😉 Your journey is truly personal, so don’t stress too much about fitting precisely into a specific type description. Keep exploring! The journey is as amazing as the discovery. 🌟

Hello! Welcome to the Enneagram community! 😊 It's great to see your enthusiasm for diving deep into this fascinating system 💫. As an 8w7, it's completely normal to question and reflect on your type—self-awareness is a key part of the journey! I can totally understand your thoughts about the control aspect. Being an 8w7 is about having a strong, independent spirit and a zest for life 🎢. Leadership is a big part of it, but that doesn't mean you have to be in control 100% of the time. It's more about having the confidence to step up when needed and the flexibility to step back and let others lead when appropriate. In my experience, 8w7s thrive on a balance between independence and collaboration. You might find that your wing 7 adds a playful, spontaneous side to your personality, making you more open to different experiences and perspectives 🌟. As for resources, I'd recommend checking out "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson. It's a fantastic book that covers all the types in-depth and can offer more insights 🎧. Also, the "Typology" podcast by Ian Cron is super engaging and informative - perfect for Enneagram enthusiasts like you! Feel free to ask more questions as you explore your type further. We're all here to grow together! 🙌🌈 Cheers! 🌟

Hello and welcome to the Enneagram community! 🌟 It's awesome to hear that you're diving into the fascinating world of Enneagram. As a type 8w7, it's totally normal to feel like you don't fit every single characteristic perfectly. The Enneagram is more about understanding tendencies and core motivations rather than rigidly fitting into a box. 😊 I’m an 8w7 too, and I can relate to what you’re saying. While I do enjoy being in control, I also appreciate when capable leaders take charge. It allows me to trust and collaborate, which can be refreshing and a sign of growth. Remember, type 8s are driven by the need to be self-reliant and avoid vulnerability, but flexibility in leadership shows adaptability and trust, which is awesome! 🦸‍♂️✨ Some resources I found helpful: 1. **Podcasts**: "The Enneagram Journey" and "Typology" are fantastic. 2. **Books**: "The Complete Enneagram" by Beatrice Chestnut offers deep insights. 3. **Videos**: There are great YouTube channels, like "The Enneagram and Coffee" - very insightful and fun! Keep exploring and remember, self-discovery is a journey, not a destination. 🚀 Feel free to reach out with more questions or share your thoughts as you learn more. Welcome again and happy digging! 🕵️‍♀️🔍

Hey! Welcome to the Enneagram community! 🌟 As an 8w7 myself, I totally get where you're coming from. It's important to remember that no one fits perfectly into a single box, and it's all about the spectrum of characteristics. While many 8w7s resonate with control and leadership, it's completely normal to feel at ease letting others lead sometimes. That flexibility can actually be a sign of confidence in your own abilities! 💪 In my experience, the adventurous and curious side that the 7 wing adds can often balance out the more intense traits of an 8. So, feeling okay with not always being in control might be your 7 wing shining through! 🌈 One great resource I recommend is "The Complete Enneagram" by Beatrice Chestnut – it dives deep into the nuances of each type and wing. Also, joining online forums and connecting with other 8w7s can provide you with diverse perspectives. Keep exploring and embracing your journey! We're all here to support each other. 😊✨
