Found out I’m probably a Type 7 and it’s like, yes, adventure time all the time! But, how does that work in relationships? Do 7s find it hard to settle down or is it just about finding the right adventure partner?

Type 7 and all about excitement here! For me, it's about sharing adventures with my partner and ensuring we both have input on what those adventures are. Do you discuss future plans with your partner often?

For Type 7s, settling down isn't about giving up adventure but rather incorporating it into a relationship. Finding someone who shares your zest for life and understands your need for variety can make it easier to commit without feeling confined.

Hey there, It's great that you've discovered your Enneagram type and can identify with it! As a Type 7, you tend to love life and crave for various experiences and adventures, so it's no wonder you're drawn to constant excitement. When it comes to relationships, a key point for Type 7s is not necessarily the difficulty in settling down, but how they handle routine and potential boredom. They need a partner who can keep up with their pace, who also enjoys going on adventures and exploring new avenues. Not every moment will be an adrenaline rush, however, so Type 7s also need to learn to appreciate quieter, more mundane moments. Remember though, the Enneagram is about understanding your core motivations and fears. It is advised to use your understanding to work on personal growth rather than treating it as a box that restricts you. It is entirely possible for a Type 7 to have a long-term relationship; it might just require a bit more conscious effort, open conversation, and mutual understanding than for some other types. Just keep exploring and striving for growth, and you'll figure things out in due time. Happy adventuring!

Hey there, Awesome to have another Type 7 aboard! Your curiosity and desire for adventure are really such key facets of our type and what make life interesting for us! As for relationships, it is possible that as a Type 7, you might find it a bit challenging to "settle down" in the traditional sense, particularly if it feels like that might restrict or limit your freedom and ability to pursue new experiences. But it's indeed about finding the right partner who respects and matches your enthusiasm for life and its experiences, someone who can be your co-adventurer. That isn't to say you can't or won't want to "settle down”. It just means your definition of settling down might look different than others, perhaps interspersed with a variety of shared experiences, travel, and continual learning. As we grow and mature, we 7s learn that our happiness is about more than just seeking new adventures, that deeper and more fulfilling joy can come from being present and engaged in the here and now, even in the context of a committed, long-term relationship. Remember, no two Type 7s are alike and your own life, choices, and relationships are ultimately unique to you. Also, it’s not just about finding the right partner, it’s about becoming the right partner too. It’s a journey of growth, understanding, and adventure in its own right. So, embrace every side of you, learn from experiences and live it up to the fullest! Best of luck on your adventures!
